NAO is a 58-cm tall, 5-kg humanoid robot developed by Aldebaran Robotics. NAO is a completely programmable, autonomous, and interactive robot. NAO is used today in research and education around the world in prestigious universities and research institutes. Aldebaran Robotics is working on a general public version of NAO for 2012.

More than 150 exceptional robots can be discovered at INNOROBO, some of them for the first time in Europe. A new interactive experiential area will be open to the general public with an ephemeral living lab to get a sense of the future as Robotics companies build it, but also, to attend demonstrations, workshops, competitions and public debates.

InnoRobo – 14^th to 16^th of March 2012, in Lyon, France – is gathering the thinkers and doers to their innovation summit to accelerate the emergence of such innovations.

The project of Albacete Science and Technology Park in Albacete emerged at the end of the year 2001 when the Foundation Albacete of Science and Technology Park was created, sponsored by the Regional Council, the Regional University, the Town Hall and the Albacete Provincial Council. This enterprise has got a high regional character, and has been strongly fostered by the Regional Council of Castilla-La Mancha through the Regional Committee of Science and Technology.

After the crisis, it is a time of growth, according to Ucimu-sistemi per produrre, the association of Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots and automation.

Over 350 robotics related events throughout Europe with more than 130 participating organisations from 19 European countries. The European Robotics Week offers one week of various robotics related activities across Europe for the general public, highlighting growing importance of robotics in a wide variety of application areas. The Week aims at inspiring technology education in students of all ages to pursue careers in STEM-related fields, i.e. science, technology, engineering and math.

Flyfire, a project initiated by the SENSEable City Laboratory in collaboration with ARES Lab (Aerospace Robotics and Embedded Systems Laboratory) aims to transform any ordinary space into a highly immersive and interactive display environment.
