The ideal place for industrial and technological development: the district of El Vallès

The Parc Tecnològic del Vallès is in the district of El Vallès, -hence its name- and is "the ideal place for industrial and technological development, thanks to its privileged situation and the excellent communications".




The scientific and technological growth of the zone over the last few years has continued alongside the building of large communication infrastructures, and to the urban development of its central area.

The district is the centre of an industrial base of centennial tradition, lately diversified, which includes sectors like the foodstuffs, metallurgical, chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive or information technologies industries.

Separated from Barcelona by the Collserola Natural Park, the PTV is part of an urban agglomeration of more than 3 million inhabitants, which houses universities and technological services. Endowed with exceptional living conditions, this zone has excellent railway, international airport and port facilities and has a road infrastructure that links it by motorway with the whole of Spain and the rest of Europe.

 

The Technological Park of El Vallès is principally directed towards:

- Businesses that carry out their activities in the field of the knowledge based industries.

- Entrepreneurs who wish to begin a new business activity in this field.

- Any other type of public or private initiative, such as the technical centres of business associations, technological institutes, training centres in the field of technology, etc.

- Definitively, those enterprises and organisations that carry out their activity in the field of knowledge based industries with clearly innovative aims.

- Energy technology
